Mistakes

I was at Sprouts the other day - it is my favorite place to shop for groceries these days...

Either way, I was shopping for produce and I thought it would be fun to purchase the ingredients to make my own pomodoro sauce to put on spaghetti squash.

So I bought some tomatoes and some basil.

And not just a little thing of basil because when I buy spices in those little plastic containers they always go bad before I can get around to making the recipe that calls for them.

So, I bought one of those little basil plants and I put it near the sink and I nurtured it and watered it and enjoyed watching it grow.

Until about three days ago when I walked by and realized that it was mint.

Does anyone have any good recipes that call for fresh mint leaves?

You May Be Right, I May Be Crazy...

Yesterday, I was talking to Diddy and I said something to the effect of, "...but I may be crazy."

He said, "Oh, you're crazy. It has been scientifically proven."

That may be a stretch - I don't think there is actual science out there...

This morning on our trip to get coffee, O'Dub said, "I like you, but you are crazy."

                                           Coincidence?

Either way, there is a lot of randomness on my mind today.

HHT is getting married tonight - you want to talk about crazy? I remember when she was just a little whipper snapper.

I want to go hiking.

I want to hike Turkey Track on our ranch.

And Half Dome at Yosemite.

And Machu Picchu in Peru.

I really have a lot of plans in life - I need to get moving.

It is apparently 24 weeks until I embark on my third Breast Cancer 3-Day - I should probably start training. Or fundraising. Or blogging.

P90X came in yesterday. I am going to spend Saturday preparing to start on Sunday. Preparations will include a meal plan and pictures. I will save the pictures until the end. I think this is going to be fun. I hope you all will help me stay on track.

And, hey, who knows...

It just may be a lunatic you're looking for.

Bravery or Foolishness?

I was talking to Diddy the other day and we were discussing how crazy our lives are (mostly mine). Not crazy like out of control partying. But crazy like extreme ups and downs and major changes in short periods of time.

Diddy told me that the reason my life is so crazy is because I'm so brave. When I questioned this, he told me that I put myself out there a lot. Then he said, "It's good, but it's crazy!"

So I got to thinking about that. As you'll remember, I made the commitment to myself to be more open about my feelings for others. So I did, and it didn't turn out so well. Because of that, I'm a little more reserved about telling people how I feel about them, but not reserved at all about sharing my feelings with others. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, but since when did I make sense?

So, I'm recommitting to share my feelings more. Hoping that others will follow suit. Just think of all of the times that you wanted to know how someone else felt about you. Go ahead and figure that there are people out there wondering the same things about your feelings for them. And in the end, isn't it better to know?
