Miscellany Monday - Making a Comeback!

one

BigSurprise came to town last weekend for a quick visit. It was everything that you can imagine, and more! We laughed so hard we cried!

I really should get better at documenting my life with pictures. Maybe one of these days...

For now, you will have to sustain with this picture of BigSurprise, me, and Dirty at the baggage claim - you got a lot of luggage in your name - sorry, I got sidetracked.

Dirty and I thought we were hilarious with our sign to greet BigSurprise at the gate!

two

The sisters, Rejuba, and I hosted a baby shower for Banana this weekend - you can head over to her blog to see pictures of the festivities.

(See #1 regarding being better about documenting my life...)

After the shower, I hung around Sissy's house until Biggie's football game started - Tiny slept through the entire shower and woke up right as everyone was leaving. Match had put him to sleep right after his bath so when he woke up he had some crazy hair - I wanted to take his picture and this is what he did...

three

Can't forget a picture of Biggie at his game. He was not all about me taking his picture...

I'm still trying to figure out Instagram...

four

I got an iPhone. And I'm totally overwhelmed by it!

Do you use Pinterest? I'm totally overwhelmed by it as well!

five

If the definition of "whelm" is "to submerge; engulf" - is overwhelm redundant?

six

I owe you lots of posts - and I'm going to try to get some down in the next couple of days, I promise.

seven

Did you read The Hunger Games? I LOVED the series! Have never been more into a series of books.

Well, they made a movie. And though I have no faith in Hollywood, I watched the trailer today for the movie - and I think they may have done it!

I'm all of the sudden super excited to see the movie!

Don't Ask Questions

Go right now and purchase, check-out, borrow, whatever - The Lone Survivor.

This book has been on my list to read for quite some time and seeing Marcus Luttrell in the Joe Nichols video reminded me that I needed to get it.

I finished it last night - and I'm not going to lie to you, I was sobbing.

This is, hands down, The.Best.Book.Ever.Written!

I realize that I am super patriotic and love the military, but I can't believe that anyone would read this book and not be moved.

I could honestly go on and on, but it would make more sense for you to just go get it and read it.

Seriously - go now. Don't ask questions.

Just make sure you have some Kleenex handy.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

one.
FredAstaire got married on Saturday night. The wedding was beautiful!

Fred and I learned how to dance together and we went all through school together and we've been great friends forever! I was *thisclose* to being in his wedding. He married a WONDERFUL woman, Ginger*!

PapaBear and Me outside the church.

Tiny and Biggie (they are holding hands...)

two.
I don't want to pack for the week. While this new job is giving me a great opportunity to spend time with Sissy and the fam, I am really disliking having to choose my clothes at the beginning of the week and being committed to them.

three.
We moved Sissy and the fam into their new house this weekend.

I meant to take pics of the chaos for all of you, but I was working too hard. I'll try to get some pics of the place this week.

four.
I REALLY want a flip cam. I think I would enjoy filming some of the madness that is my life.

five.
I have set myself a goal of reading 30 books this year. I am at 4 so far.

I just started reading "Promise Me." Have I ever told you that I met Nancy Brinker in 2004? Yep, drove her around Albuquerque, NM.

And it reminds me that I need to start fundraising for the 3-Day. I'll put that on the list for next weekend.
