Suspicious Minds

I have to admit, since I've been on vacation, I've pretty much been disconnected from the outside world. It has been awesome! I have to honestly say that it has been one of the greatest vacations ever - doing pretty much nothing.

But I do apologize because that has also meant that I have not been blogging.

But I do have a funny travel story.

I left home on Tuesday morning - a week ago. I hadn't flown in a while, but I didn't think much would have changed.

I got to the security line and there was a woman with a wand and she asked me to see both of my palms. She ran the cloth at the end of the wand over three parts of both of my palms, put the cloth in a machine and then let me go.

Weird.

Two days later, I was back at the Albuquerque airport, heading for Denver. I went through security and was waiting for my bags to come out of the scanner machine when a woman walked up to me with the same kind of wand and asked to see my palms.

Remembering the drill from Phoenix, I thought nothing of it.

This time, it wouldn't be so easy.

Apparently there was something on my hands that set off an alarm. So the woman takes all of my bags and asks me to sit in a chair off to the side.

I was a little annoyed, but try to appreciate the added security measures.

Then, another woman walks up and informs us that becuase of the alarm type, we had to go into a special screening room.

Are you freaking kidding me?

So into the tiny room we go. And the second woman starts to tell me about how she is going to "search" me.

I have read a few headlines something about people being violated by TSA agents, but I thought it was an exageration.

Trust me. It is not.

I honestly can not think of a way that could have violated me more unless they asked me to remove my clothes.

It was horrible!

Luckily, I passed whatever test they were giving me and I wasn't looking so suspicious when I flew out of Denver.

One more flight before I get home and I'm hoping that I make it through the airport for that one.
