Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Here we go again. Another Monday. Another weekend full of things I didn't get done.

{uno.} I still need new running shoes. Though it was at the top of my list to get some this weekend, time got away from me and I never got the opportunity to hit the store. It MUST happen by this weekend. Things are getting out of hand!

{dos.} One of the things that I did instead of buy running shoes was to make these delightful Oatmeal Creme Pies from Cheyenne's blog. WOW! Most. Delicious. Cookies. Ever! You should make them! Now!

{tres.} Unless you are on a diet. Like I am. Starting this morning. And I'm serious about it! Banana is going to be upset when she realizes that I am not going to eat fry bread tonight, but I can't break my diet on the first day. I have too many weddings coming up.

{cuatro.} I think I may have mentioned before how much I love music. And I believe that I've even told you that I love Eric Church more than a person should love someone they've never met before... Well, friends, he is coming to Arizona! With Miranda Lambert. I CAN. NOT. FREAKING. WAIT! Come on, December 9!!

{cinco.} Freckles comes to town next week with her brand new baby boy! I'm so excited to meet him and hold him and love him! And catch up with her. It has been far too long! I'll leave you with an adorable picture of the sweet baby and you can all be jealous!

Ok - I gave you two because I couldn't stop myself.

  2. I'm sad you will not be eating frybread...but I forgive you and support you in this decision! And I only had a sliver of the oatmeal pie because of frybread dinner...it was AMAZING though:)

  3. Gosh, FRYBREAD? Um, can I move down there?! Someday I will tell you about my trip down to New Mexico and a little through Arizona and the most fantastic frybread we ate on the reserve...it may or may not have changed my life.

Okay, you pleased me to the nth degree that you made my cookies! I had the biggest grin and hollered at my husband.

I also read your post about camping and laughed my brains out. It was freezing in December? Baha! Last year we came to Phoenix in January for a weekend and thought it was the greatest thing ever...we were the only people laying by the swimming pool in our bathing suits soaking up the sun. People would walk by and ask us if we were grain farmers from Canada! They said that those were the only people that show up at this time of the year and lay at the pool. haha! You should come camp up here...you'd love it!

  4. I am going to admit my nerdiness right now...

I just got the email from your comment Cheyenne and I got all excited and told Dirty, "oh yay, Cheyenne's back."

Your cookies were AWESOME! Thank you for posting the recipe! I think I'm my dad's favorite daughter right now.

Funny story about grain farmers from Canada and Arizona pools in the wintertime - my sister married a guy originally from North Dakota (may as well be Canada :)) and they are grain farmers. At their wedding in Arizona in February his entire family was in the pool and everyone thought they were crazy.

So do you come to Arizona often?
